We’re so excited to celebrate with you on Martha’s Vineyard! No matter where you’re traveling from, here’s an overview of the best ways to get to the island
By Air
• Fly directly to Martha’s Vineyard Airport (MVY) from major cities like Boston, New York, Atlanta, or Washington, D.C.
• Year-round, you can also connect through Boston Logan (BOS) or New York (JFK/LGA) on airlines like JetBlue, Delta, or Cape Air.
By Ferry
• From Woods Hole, MA: The Steamship Authority offers year-round ferries for passengers and cars (45 minutes).
• From Falmouth, MA: The Island Queen Ferry (seasonal, passengers only) takes about 35 minutes.
• From New York City: Seastreak offers a seasonal ferry ride (5.5 hours).
Driving + Ferry
Drive to Woods Hole, Falmouth, or Hyannis, MA, and take a ferry. Parking and shuttle services are available at the terminals.
By Bus or Train
Buses like Peter Pan connect Boston or New York to the Woods Hole ferry terminal. Amtrak trains also run to Boston or Providence, with options to continue to the ferry.
On the Island
Once you arrive, you can get around easily by taxi, bus, bike, or rental car.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
If you’re traveling from Boston Logan Airport, you can take the Peter Pan bus to Woods Hole, Massachusetts. From there, you can catch the ferry to either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven on the island.
If you plan on bringing a car to the island, be sure to make a reservation for both you and your vehicle in advance.
If you’re flying into Rhode Island, you can take the Martha’s Vineyard Fast Ferry directly to the island.
